Instructions
Begin by lining an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, ensuring that the paper overhangs the edges for easy lifting and removal later.
In a medium saucepan set over low heat, combine the creamy peanut butter and chocolate chips. Stir continuously until both components are completely melted and blended into a smooth mixture.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add in the unsweetened cocoa powder, maple syrup (or honey), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir vigorously until all ingredients are fully combined.
Carefully pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, utilizing a spatula to spread the mixture evenly across the surface.
If desired, sprinkle crushed peanuts, flaky sea salt, or mini chocolate chips over the top of the fudge.
Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and allow the fudge to chill for a minimum of 2 hours.
Once set, gently lift the fudge out of the baking dish using the overhanging parchment paper and cut into evenly-sized squares.
